Every year, the Technion's hub for innovation and entrepreneurship holds the Technion's official entrepreneurship event. Throughout an interesting and fascinating day, t:hub offers everyone and all of them, at no cost, fascinating pieces of content from the world of entrepreneurship. Usually the tradition is 'Entrepreneurship Day' but this year, we decided to dedicate an entire week.
Entrepreneurship Week at the Technion this year was held under the motto "I have entrepreneurship and it will win"; The victory of entrepreneurship over the challenges of reality, as a way of life and a coping tool.
Opening event of the 20th cycle - Biztec
As part of the Entrepreneurship Week events and with great excitement, we held the demo day of Biztec's 2023 cycle, in which 9 ventures presented their pitch; Well done everyone. Biztec is safe through your plate and is eagerly waiting for the next exit!
The same event was also the opening event of the 20th cycle. The guest of honor was Mr. Yizhar Shai, former Minister of Science, entrepreneur, investor and a key figure in the Israeli entrepreneurial ecosystem.
We were moved to hear the story of the fall of his son Yaron on the seventh of October, in a heroic battle in which thanks to him and thanks to his comrades in arms and the Kerem Shalom standby squad, they were able to repel the hundreds of terrorists who tried to occupy the kibbutz and thus prepared for the residents of the kibbutz.
Following the fall of his son, Yizhar founded a new venture called Next October whose goal is to establish a new startup, for every murdered and killed, thus commemorating the victims of October 7 and the soldiers who fell in the battles, and developing the future of the economy of the State of Israel.
Thank you Yizhar for a very exciting meeting.
